Gaviota Trailhead Map Gaviota Peak hike starts from this trailhead.
From Santa Barbara Mission, drive down Laguna St. three blocks to the first stop sign. Turn right onto Mission St. and go one mile to Highway 101. Go north on 101 approximately 33 miles to exit for Highway 1, shortly after the Gaviota Tunnel. Exit onto Highway 1, and almost immediately, before crossing the bridge over 101, make a sharp right turn. Drive 0.4 miles to the end of the road and park in the Gaviota State Park parking lot. Total distance from Santa Barbara Mission is 35 miles.
