Man arrested in trailhead thefts

A man was arrested Monday in connection with a spate of thefts from vehicles parked at the Cold Springs and Hot Springs trailheads in the Santa Ynez Valley.

After gathering descriptions of suspicious vehicles, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies indentified 19-year-old Chad Stevenson Hill of Ventura as the suspect. They began conducting surveillance of the trailheads and spotted Mr.Hill on Monday morning.

He was arrested and booked into County Jail. his bail was set at $10,000.
